Leave the peaceful banks of the Nile for an unforgettable journey across the Nubian Desert to one of Egypt’s most spectacular sites: the temples of Abu Simbel.

UNESCO World Heritage sites, these temples carved into the mountain represent the power and grandeur of Ramses II’s reign.

Imposing, precise, and majestic, the colossal statues at the Great Temple will leave a lasting impression. Nearby, the Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to Ramses II’s favourite wife, showcases a remarkable balance of strength and delicacy.

Saved from flooding during the construction of the Aswan dams, this unique site is far more than a historical monument : it is a testament to vibrant life, architectural genius, and spirituality.

Comfortably seated in your air-conditioned private van, you will depart early in the morning to enjoy a peaceful and intimate day, as the desert slowly awakens under the golden light of dawn.

Currency & payment: which currency should I use and can I pay by card?

The currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP). Cards are accepted at many hotels, restaurants and tourist sites, but always carry cash for small purchases and tips. ATMs are available in cities; bank fees may apply. Avoid informal currency exchange and, at the card terminal, decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to keep your bank’s exchange rate.

Internet & phone: local SIM or eSIM?
